A note from my dad:
"A school-mate of Aunt Criss was living in New Orleans when Katrina hit. They got out safely, but their house, and the rest of the area, disappeared. Here are two photos that Criss passed along. They speak to the force of the storm better than most of the news photos I've seen.
Before (August 2005)
Somewhere in the "after" picture are two five gallon cans of house paint. Part of a summer project. They survived unscathed. The house did not.
After (September 2005)
We're not complaining about our renovation any more.
