The great thing about Cartoon Cuts is they combine games and tv with the haircut experience. I will tell you that Dryver, who hates to get his haircut, said today that he wanted to go to Cartoon Cuts to get a trim. They offer video games, art table, kids' favorite videos and a TV at each hair station.
This is a franchise and is currently only in Texas, Virgina, and Maryland. It seems like a great franchise opportunity, though I am not clear on the upside of the franchise over creating a kids oriented salon in the mall. The brand is not well known yet, but it will get there.
In case you are interested the cost is not bad for a franchise. Depending on the structure of the real estate deals, investment options may start as low as $100,000 for a complete, turnkey, single store location.
Anyway, we are headed tomorrow to get both Dryver and Stryde's hair cut, and will be helping the owner of the shop in Tyson's Corner to pay-off the 100K they invested.
