I came across these two tombstones when we were on our Mission Trip this past summer in Atlantic City. We stayed at a church where there was a cemetery outside and when we were packing up I saw these two tombstones.
I wonder if Laura died first and her husband (Ray) was trying to show how much she meant to him. Then when he passed, the kids all decided to keep the costs down and buy a cheap headstone.

The only other idea I had is the fact that Ray died first and Laura wanted to save her money. When she died the kids decided to give her a big memorial.
For some reason I think the first theory is more likely.
