Tonight is th NSO...

Jennifer and I are going to the NSO (National Symphony Orchestra) tonight at the Kennedy Center. I bought season tickets to the classical series and we have been going on a monthly basis. We go out to a nice dinner and then go to the show and have a great cultural experience.

We have Box Seats and it is fun to hear the great music and see some of the 'Who's Who' of DC. Last time we sat with one of the national reporters, who sat in our Box. I didn't realize who it was until we left, but it was fun.

Jennifer likes to joke that most people at the Symphony are 65+, but it is fun anyway. Tonight the show is: Iván Fischer, conductor/Nikolaj Znaider, violin, performs Beethoven - this is the last year for Ivan Fischer and it is great to listen to Beethoven. Tonight the NSO's Principal Guest Conductor is joined by Nikolaj Znaider--who "plays with a poetic elegance" (The New York Times)--for an all-Beethoven program, including the composer's Violin Concerto and Symphony No. 5.

We are going every month and so far it has really been a blast and a great time out for just the two of us.
