Here are a few other Web 2.0 websites that I enjoy…
http://www.newsvine.com/ - Social tagging news sharing site – it actually has great articles from mainstream media and from blogs. The tags help you find content that is of interest, while also allowing for Digg type rankings to find the best articles.
http://alistapart.com/ - A List Apart - explores the design, development, and meaning of web content, with a special focus on techniques and benefits of designing with web standards.
http://www.backpackit.com – Backpack is a pretty cool way to manage lists and information. It is an open structure and allows for email management, which is what I like about it. It is a little like a blog meets wiki.
http://www.ning.com/ - A cool site that lets you create your own social web applications. It is really neat and has many applications; I just have not had time to build anything useful. If you need a social web application for a specific vertical or need to create a mash-up, this is the site.
There are many others, but these are probably a few you have not heard of or tried out… Check them out when you have a second or two.
